Lamtec Corporation is accepting applications for Summer Helper (Manufacturing) openings in our manufacturing plant. Night shift available. This is a great way to learn about our operation. Recent high school graduates, college students, and those interested in learning about manufacturing are welcome to apply! Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. The manufacturing plant schedule is 5:30am-5:30pm or 6:00am-6:00pm and 5:30pm-5:30am or 6pm-6am, 4 to 5 days per week.

RECENT HS GRADS & COLLEGE STUDENTS WELCOME!

What We Require:

  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older

  • All applicants must be available for 12-hour shifts

  • Must be dependable, reliable, and coachable

  • A keen eye for safety

  • A positive attitude!

  • Willingness to learn and follow directions

  • Physical ability to keep pace with manufacturing line

  • Some mechanical ability

  • Some heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs.)

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, reach, stretch, twist and squat

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proficiency with computers

  • Able to read both a standard and metric tape measure and use it accurately

  • HS diploma or equivalent

General Duties:

  • Assist with operation of machine. Be able to monitor and stop machine when the operator is not present.

  • Keep work area clean and orderly

  • Continuously inspect product for defects

  • Ensure that the customer will be satisfied with the product they receive

  • Look out for the safety of others, including the operator

  • Clean machine as necessary

  • Empty garbage containers

  • Complete all work in a safe and timely manner

Operator Support Duties:

  • Plan ahead: Have necessary supplies ready for upcoming orders and machine changeovers

  • Assist operator in shafting cores and making splices.

  • Mount and dismount rolls

  • Wrap/package finished rolls

  • Mark finished rolls per order requirements

  • Operate hoist

  • Palletize finished product per packaging specifications

  • Help ensure product quality through visual, audible and tactile inspection
